Tequila & Gerry- Just Married!

One day after Shannon and Tony's wedding I was able to second shoot another wedding with Donna Harris.
Imagine an outdoor wedding where two become one under the Music Pavilion in Tower Grove Park. Imagine a forecast for rain. A high percentage that I can't even remember- something close to 70% during the time of the wedding.
Imagine no rain until after the ceremony, where it was still just a sprinkle and were able to work with a fabulous couple and wedding party in an awesome setting.

Donna- thanks again for allowing me to shoot and learn from you!

Shannon & Tony's Wedding

Never say never. I have heard that phrase. I have repeated that phrase to others. I am also guilty of saying "never" myself.

When I began taking pictures and was being encouraged to take the step of becoming a photographer I told everybody that I would NEVER do a wedding. I will admit I didn't think of the option of being a second photographer but I did not think that I would take the opportunity.
Guess what? When Donna Harris gave me the opportunity to second shoot with her I prayed about it for a couple of days before calling her. I finally called her and told her I would be there. She also told me that I could be a third shooter for my first wedding, which was just what I needed! I was able to learn a lot from Donna and her second shooter, Sheri.
Shannon and Tony were great! A beautiful couple, who ended up not having to use umbrellas, like we thought they may have to according the forecast! Perfect for my first chance of a third shooter that day.
Donna- thanks for giving me this opportunity and for sharing your gift! It was great working with you!

Kelly Manno's Class

This Spring I decided that I needed to come out of my state of denial that I am becoming a photographer. A fellow photographer, who happens to be my hair stylist, encouraged me to take a class by Kelly Manno. A special thank you to Donna Harris for recommending this class.
This was the fourth class by Kelly Manno. She is an amazing photographer who started out just like I am- a little in denial. As a side note she has also started Babies and Bellies. She photographs birth stories with no gorry pictures. :)
We were able to take pictures of the models she brought in. They were all dressed up in their bridal attire. So fun.
There was so much love between them. How do I know? For the simple fact that he loves golfing and was doing this shoot, instead of watching the Masters. Ahhh... newlywed love at it's finest!
This was also good experience for me since I was second and third shooting two weddings a few weeks ago with Donna Harris. (Pictures from those two weddings will come soon!)
